The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) has been setup at Bhubaneswar by the Department of Atomic Energy of the Government of India. NISER invites applications from the eligible and right Indian citizens for the positions of Scientific Officer. The department filled the vacancies by Direct Recruitment on regular basis. Job Description:
1) Scientific Officer ‘E’: 01 post
Salary: Appointed candidate will receive initial pay Rs.29500/- with pay scale of Rs. 15600 - 39100/- + Grade Pay Rs.7600/- along with other applicable allowances.
Educational Qualification: Candidate should have completed Ph D in Physics especially in the area of experimental high energy heavy-ion collisions with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade both at graduation and post graduation level.
Experience: candidate must have at least 4 years experience of specialized post doctoral / working experience in the area of experimental high energy heavy-ion collisions in a laboratory of national repute, OR exceptionally brilliant candidates having minimum 2 years of specialized post doctoral / working experience in the area of experimental high energy heavy-ion collisions at international facility like BNL or CERN.
Age Limit: The candidate must not above 40 years as on 28/02/2013.
2) Scientific Officer ’D’: 01 post
Salary: Appointed candidate will receive initial pay Rs.25350/- with pay scale of Rs. 15600 - 39100/- + Grade Pay Rs.6600/- along with other applicable allowances.
Educational Qualification: Candidate should have completed M. Sc in Physics with minimum 60% marks at graduation and post graduation level, OR M. Tech in Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical branch (after B. Tech or M. Sc) with minimum 60% marks at graduation and post graduation level.
Experience: candidate must have at least 4 years experience of post qualification experience in the specialized areas of detector developments (gas or silicon based) that are used in high or low energy nuclear/particle physics experiments.
Age Limit: The candidate must not above 35 years as on 28/02/2013.
Age Relaxation: Age relaxation will be permissible as per government rules.
